Hamersharp Lindavista - Website Redesign

Hamersharp Lindavista, a prominent language school, faced a decline in student enrollments as their online presence failed to effectively showcase their offerings. The pandemic highlighted the weaknesses in their online presence, making it difficult to locate official exams and remote programs. The outdated website did not reflect the school’s evolution, and vital information was hard to find.

I was brought in to redesign their website to enhance user experience and improve conversion rates. Acting as the product strategist, experience designer, visual designer, and front-end developer, I worked closely with the school owner and the principal over a two-month period.

To understand the site’s shortcomings, I interviewed stakeholders and surveyed 40 students. My goal was to discover why students chose Hamersharp Lindavista over other schools and how they used the website. I found that key information was hard to find and the website felt outdated.

One challenge was gathering insights from students during the pandemic when the school was mostly shut down. Another challenge was aligning the redesign with the school’s new branding and business strategy while ensuring ease of navigation.

We updated the information architecture and redesigned the website to make key information easily accessible. I wireframed and designed high-fidelity mockups for key screens and developed the new website to highlight the school’s unique offerings and improve user engagement.

The redesigned website resulted in a 50% increase in TOELF, IELTS, and DELF sign-ups within the first six months and a 30% reduction in inquiry calls. The updated website better reflected the school’s offerings and made it easier for students to find and enroll in courses.

Moving forward, we plan to continuously gather feedback from students and stakeholders to make iterative improvements. Further enhancements could include adding more interactive features and expanding the online course offerings to attract a broader audience.
